Woodland Heritage is pleased to announce that it will be offering two Bursaries worth £500 each to the Continuous Cover Forestry Group (CCFG) to attend the ProSilva Europe convention in France. The present Chairman of the Group, Phil Morgan, will be taking over the Presidency of ProSilva Europe on this occasion.
The Annual Meeting will be held from 27th to 30th June 2012 and will be based in La Ferté Bernard which is southwest of Paris, the nearest large town being Le Mans. This is an area renowned for its superb high Oak forests in the 400 year old National Forest of Bercé and the world famous ‘Canton des Clos’. There will also be visits to several private forests, where former coppice in standards has undergone conversion to continuous cover forestry over time.
This is an unrivalled opportunity to visit some of Europe’s finest Oak forests in the company of eminent foresters and practitioners.
The estimated costs for this event are £600 per person.
